Visit to our Organization by team from BAIF-( NGO working for Developement of Tribals)

On November 3rd, village women form Orrissa were shown the workings of our SHG (Self Help Group) women.

Participation of GST in Survey of Education.

GST conducted a 4 day survey of 30 villages in our district under the leadership of Pratham, an NGO dedicated towards excellence in education.

Control of Filarial Infection.

On November 7, Dr Mehul Deliwala (Epidemiologist of Navsari district ) gave a lecture on Filaria to RCH (Reproductive & Child Health) workers. The workers participated in mass distribution of medication in the community to prevent filarial infection.

Workshop on “Vermicompost" (Natural Fertilizer)

On November 8, 49 SHG women members participated in the workshop in Degam sponsored by Aranyak.

RCH Program Study.

On November 11, 45 women from JNPCT (a Public Charitable Trust) visited GST to learn about the workings of our RCH women.

Review of SNGO Project

Our Project was reviewed at the Government Health Office in Gandhinagar. Mr. Prince Purohit, our project manager attended this

common review meeting.

Fancy Dress & Patriotic Song Competition.

On November 21st all the teachers & students of our tuition classes participated in this competition. All of them are excited for the finals to be held in the near future.

Heart Disease Camp.

In the last week of November, a three Day Preliminary check up of all suspected heart patients was conducted by Dr. Ratna Magotra, Cardio-thoracic Surgeon from Mumbai. One hundred and twenty seven patients were checked and they will be followed up for future treatments.

HIV-AIDS Workshop.

This was a One day work shop on December 12th for 38 women from our Self Help Groups..

Eye camps.

Two Eye Camps were organized in the month of December. 168 patients were cared for.

Cataract Surgery was performed for 59 patients and 32 prescriptions were filled for glasses.
