A diagnostic camp was arranged at Vanzana , a village 10 kms from the hospital and to our surprise , 233 patients were examined and treated in this camp. A village which is so near to the hospital had such a big no. of people who were deprived of the treatment of their health problems due to one or the other reason. So the trust has decided to conduct such camps at short intervals in the nearby villages.

The clinical work in the hospital is rising day by day and so the work of expansion of the hospital wards which include, the ICU unit , Pediatric Ward , labor room and the hospital kitchen has been started. The trust has been trying to raise the fund s for the expansion Project.

To streghthen the pubic private relationship the trust has stared conducting certain projects with government which include the Women and children health Project and the Chiranjeevi Yojana (Free antenatal and delivery services). Now we are looking forward to another prject, the Balsakha Yojana which will help us to provide free medical services( NICU admissions) to the newborns.

On 10th of Jan 2009 28 patients were taken to Radiologist Dr. Rajesh Desai’s facility in Navsari for ECHO Studies. Dr. Snehal Kulkarni, Pediatric Cardiologist from Wolkhart Hospital in Mumbai, spent the day for this diagnostic study. Seven patients were diagnosed to have Rheumatic Heart Disease and Four had Congenital Heart Disease. They will be treated and followed up by Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Ratna Magotra on a regular basis.

A two day workshop as an ongoing training for RCH (Reproductive & Child Health) workers was conducted on 16 and 17th of January 2009. Various topics like Record Keeping, Reporting etc. were discussed.

The Gram Seva trust Parivar celebrated the Republic day , 26 ^th January . The staff kids gave a beautiful performance on this occasion.
